Reporting to: Associate Medical Director / Medical Science Development & Cooperation Director
Location: Beijing
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Strategic planning for External Medical Cooperation
- Identify collaboration partner among Medical Academic Institutions, Medical Associations, and government authorities in China
- Understand their needs, identify and prioritize cooperation opportunities for Pfizer China
- Propose annual External Medical Cooperation Strategic Plan and obtain endorsement from Medical management
2. Design External Medical Cooperation Projects
- Closely communicate with Marketing and Public Affairs, to understand Pfizer business needs and synergetic opportunities within Pfizer
- Design medical projects that fulfills the needs from Chinese Medical Associations and best use of Pfizer internal resources
- Prepare project proposal to obtain approval from medical management
3. Implementation of External Medical Cooperation Projects
- Develop and prepare annual budget for medical projects according to the approved External Medical Cooperation Strategic Plan and obtain endorsement from medical management
- Responsible for implementation of the approved medical projects at high quality, including timeline and budget control, as well as result tracking
- Provide periodic report to update project progress to medical management
4. Establish and maintain external key stakeholder database
- Establish internal database for Pfizer External Medical Cooperation, including key stakeholder mapping and external medical cooperation project tracking, etc.
- Maintain the database and keep it up to date
5. Communication liaison between Pfizer and Chinese Medical Society
- Keep sufficient communication with Chinese Medical Society to monitor evolution of external environment, such as the healthcare reform
- Provide timely proposals and/or periodic report to medical management
6. Participate in company crisis management, as needed
- Coordinate with expertise within Medical Department to provide support to Public Affairs in company crisis management, as needed
- Coordinate with relevant external Medical Associations, as needed
7. Other tasks assigned by the supervisor
BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS
- Profession in medicine or pharmacy, master of Business Administration is a plus
- At least five years working experience in Multinational Pharmaceutical company, working experience in Chinese Medical Associations is a plus
- Good English reading/writing
- Good strategic planning
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Strong project management skills
